On the way back from Taquamenon Falls and Whitefish Point, the first signs of summers end waved from atop a handful of trees.

There is still time for summer fun and yet, the night after the Perseids Meteor Shower, a yellow half moon appeared and thoughts turned to the glory of fall and the romance of deep thick snow and skiing, boarding, riding the rails and crystal clear nights.
