National Independent Booksellers Day is Saturday

Walloon Writers Review gives a big “Thank You!” to all of the independent booksellers we’ve met during the last ten years. Indepdent bookstores are not just awesome to visit, they actively support local authors and collections like ours of local and regional Michigan writers and photographers. We count our indie bookstores as friends, where we can always find something new and special.

On this site, under the “Where to Find Walloon Writers Review” tab, you’ll find a list of our favorite great independent booksellers here in Michigan who have been very supportive of our contributors and us!

Many have asked how can you support the work we do at Walloon Writers Review? Remind them its a pleasant collection sharing our collective passion for northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, suitable for general audiences.

  • Stop in to one of these stores and pick up a copy of our newly released Ninth Edition!
  • Call one of them and place a special order to ship a copy to a friend or family member – especially if you’re in it. It’s not “shameless self-promotion”, it’s inviting them along on your journey!
  • Know a vacation property owner up this way looking for something unique to have available at their place? Suggest they include Walloon Writers Review Ninth Edition for their guests. Leave it on the reading shelf, the magazine table, on the side table near the fireplace! Local writers and beautiful color photography and Mixed Media, local and regional content, suitable for a general audience – sold locally at indie bookstores!
  • Walloon Writers Review is sold in amazing bookstores throughout Michigan. It’s in your favorite vacation places – stop in and pick up a copy as a souvenir of your adventures in northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula this summer!

Walloon Writers Review Ninth Edition sells for $24.99 and is our largest collection ever. Thank you, independent bookstores for all of your support of local authors, local photographers, our publication and the community.
