Summer 2017

If you have visited our site lately, its been a little quiet…like the hush of a cottage opened for the first time of the season.  It’s time to dust, sweep away the cobwebs and start summer!

Our Facebook posts have kept up better and to our online visitors, we’ll do better at updating both…here are some highlights!

We are pleased that copies of Walloon Writers Review 2nd Edition are available at:

Between The Covers Bookstore in Harbor Springs

Saturn Booksellers in Gaylord

We are proud to have received our ISSN Number from the Library of Congress last month!  Look for it displayed on upcoming Volume 3.

Walloon Writers Review participated in Crooked Tree Arts Center 15th Annual Young Writers Juried Exposition ….look for a special section in Volume 3 for the First Place Winning submissions in each category.  We are proud to have been a part of this event!

WWR is available online and as more retail outlets become available, we will announce them here!

We are looking for a new staffer to join our team and help with our Volume 3 Call for Submissions!  College or grad student, paid part time position that works with your schedule.  Requirements are a tie to northern Michigan or the UP, (school, family, cottage, frequent camper etc), college english & or writing course(s) completed with success, excellent writing and communication skills and the ability to meet in Petoskey once a month in July & August…all else can be done from home/school/office.  Send a letter of inquiry to:  editor@walloonwriters.com.

We hope you will think about us this summer and put pen to paper, fingertips to keyboard or an eye behind the lens of your camera…Volume 3 call for submissions will be announced later this summer.

On our Facebook page – we are sharing exciting literary events as we come across them! On Twitter, Facebook or here …fresh water, green trees, sandy beaches and amazing vistas are the inspiration for the amazing experience of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula  – be sure to pick up a copy of Volume 2…it’s a perfect front porch or beach read.

Thank you –

editor
